Daniela Hantuchova Controversies and Relationships:Born in Poprad, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia) to father Igor, and mother Marianna, Hantuchová was introduced to tennis by her grandmother, a former national champion.

Due to her parents’ split, her performances briefly worsened in 2003. She suffered from a weight problem during this period and was suspected of being anorexic, however she denied the same.
