Robert Downey Jr. Controversies and Relationships:He briefly dated actress Sarah Jessica Parker after meeting her onset of Firstborn but they broke it off in 1991 due to his drug addiction. He later married actress and singer Deborah Falconer in 1992, with whom he had a son, Indio Falconer Downey he and Deborah ultimately divorced in 2004.
He met producer Susan Levin, (Executive Vice President of Production at Silver Pictures) on the sets of Gothika who he later married in August 2005 and they have a son named Exton Elias Downey. He also has a tattoo in tribute to her for helping him kick his drug addiction.

When Robert Downey Jr. was a awarded the Golden Globe for the category Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for his brilliant depiction of Sherlock Holmes, he stated in his acceptance speech that he had not prepared a speech because his wife ( producer Susan Downey who also produced Sherlock Holmes) had informed him at 10:00 in the morning that Matt Damon who nominated for his role in The Informant was going to win instead of him.
