Tatiana Golovin is a former French professional tennis player born on January 25, 1988. In 2004 she won French Open mixed doubles event after teaming with Richard Gasquet, and also reached the singles quarterfinal round at the US Open in 2006 but was defeated by Maria Sharapova who later won the torunament. Her highest singles ranking in her career presently is 12. In 2008 she was forced to quit playing indefinitely after being diagnosed with lower back iflammation. She was rumored to be dating French footballer Samir Nasri with whom she parted ways in 2012.
Golovin spent six years she trained at Nick Bollettieri’s tennis camp in Bradenton, Florida for 6 years. During the peak of her career she was coached by former World No. 1 Mats Wilander, after having previously been coached by Brad Gilbert and Dean Goldfine.
In 2002, she made her debut at the ITF Circuit in Cagnes-sur-Mer (France) and went on to play in three more ITF events in the same year but did not qualify for the French Open. In 2003, she won her first WTA Tour main draw match at Indian Well. Golovin lost in the first round at Miami and Roland Garros. She also played in four ITF Circuit events.

Tatiana Golovin Controversies and Relationships:
In 2007 during Wimbledon When Tatiana Golovin wore red shorts which stirred controversy because people believed there had been a violation of the ‘strictly white’ rules. A spokesman however later clarified that the shorts were allowed as they did not go below the hemline. Tatiana later defended her choice by saying that it was her way of expressing confidence.
